Privacy policy

Schematic Net Tracer (the website and the Chrome / Edge extension) processes PDF files entirely inside your browser.

• Files you open are never uploaded, stored or transmitted anywhere. Parsing and rendering happen locally with the bundled pdf.js library.
• The software makes no network requests of its own. The only network access is the extension fetching a PDF you opened by URL, so that it can display it instead of the built-in viewer.
• No analytics, no cookies, no telemetry, no accounts.
• The extension stores two settings locally in your browser (chrome.storage.local): the interface language and whether .pdf links are intercepted.
• Permissions used by the extension: declarativeNetRequest (redirect .pdf navigations to the viewer), contextMenus (the "Open in Net Tracer" items), storage (the two settings above), tabs (open the current tab's URL in the viewer) and host access to http/https/file URLs (load the PDF you opened).
